Since accepting the call in August 2003 as the ninth pastor of Mount Vernon Baptist Church, Pastor Turner has led the church with strong spiritual vision and steady leadership. Under his leadership, Mount Vernon expanded its ministry reach, strengthened Christian education, placed strong emphasis on outreach and evangelism, and guided the church through major growth and transition, including the move from the Martin Luther King Jr. campus to the current Lynhurst Drive campus. His leadership continues to reflect Mount Vernon’s commitment to serve this present age through faith, excellence, and community impact.
